Save that to your desktop, and call us when you are ready to let a support specialist assist you.

When you have a support specialist ready, simply double click the Teamviewer file that you saved to your desktop and provide the support technician with the ID and password shown.

Alternative: Setting up LogMeIn remote access for support service: 

1. Go to www.LogMeIn.com and login as logmein@smpltechno.com the password is SMPLTECH (UPPERCASE)
2. Click “Add Computer” on the right side of the screen.
3. On the next screen select “Install LogMeIn Free on this computer”, then “Continue”.
4. Follow the guide on the website as it installs the Logmein software on your computer, you might be prompted with security warranties, just click yes to all of them.
5. Call support and let them know your computer is ready to be logged in on.

A bar might flash at the top of your window to download it, just click the bar and click Open.

Once open, run the installer, and click next several times until you get to this screen:

 

 

The password prompt will open,

Enter a password and click OK

and finish the installation.

 

 

 

 

 Open up Windows security to allow remote support:
Go to the Start Menu and click Control Panel
In the Control Panel open Windows Firewall

If Windows Firewall is off, some other program like Norton Internet Security must be installed, this will take additional steps.

Otherwise click the Exceptions tab on top,
Click Add Port

Name: VNC
Port Number: 5900

Click OK and close everything.


Forward ports on your internet router:
If outside access is needed, you also need to forward some ports to your computers IP address (not advised for extended periods - due to vulnerability)

Click the Start Menu and click Run, then type CMD and click OK.
In the Command prompt type:
ipconfig
Press enter and it should display your IP Address.

Log in to your router and forward the VNC port 5900 to your IP address shown above.
